  • Hazardous Chemicals
  • Mattresses
  • Paint
  • Paper
  • Plastic
  • Rubber – Tires, Hoses, etc.
  • Waste Oil
  • Wood

*Any closed containers, not limited to, but including Beer Kegs, Fuel Tanks, Oxygen Bottles, any Gas Bottles, Un-opened Fire Extinguishers, Propane Tanks, Aerosol Cans, Loaded or Unloaded Bullet Shells and Casings, etc.

About Us      

At Albany Recycling Center we accept and recycle all sorts of materials, from aluminum cans to e-waste, from copper to car parts and just about everything else you may need to recycle. Located in Albany, MN, most of our services and accounts are based throughout Central Minnesota (Freeport, Melrose, Albany, Holdingford, Avon, etc.); however, we can and will handle nationwide accounts if the need arises.

Business Accounts
At Albany Recycling Center we work with local area business, such as schools, computer repair centers, hospitals and automotive/mechanic shops to assist with their recycling needs. We are able to set-up effective agreements in which we provide material pick-up, payment and recycling services to business on a regular basis. Our professional and knowledgeable staff will work with your business to determine when and how often pick-up is necessary, helping you maintain an efficient work place.

Material Pick-Up
Material Pick-Up is provided to businesses and organizations, this can be arranged on a regular basis or you can contact us for one-time recycling assistance. Residential material pick-up is currently not provided unless special circumstances arise, please contact us with questions regarding pick-up or clean-up assistance.

#1 Copper - Clean, unalloyed and uncoated copper that contains no brass, paint, plastic or other materials.

#2 Copper - Uncoated and unalloyed copper that contains minimal brass, paint, plastic, insulation or rubber. We also accept sheet copper, dirty copper, copper turnings, etc.

#1 Bare Brite Copper - Bare uncoated copper wire no smaller than 16 gauge.
Accepting stainless steel solids and turnings.
We accept old and unusable automotive batteries.
Accepting yellow and red brass free of non-metallic materials and iron as well as dirty brass which can contain some iron, rubber, almunium, plastic or other foreign materials.
All types of aluminum beverage cans (in original condition or crushed).
We accept all types of aluminum including: ACSR aluminum wire, Bare Electrical Current (EC) wire, aluminum rims, Die Cast Aluminum, Copper Aluminum Cores, Sheet Aluminum, Cast Aluminum, Aluminum Turnings, etc.
All types of radiators including vehicles, lawn mowers, off-road vehicles, etc.
Accepting soft, clean scrap lead and hard lead.
Accepting electric motors from small appliances and outdoor equipment.
#1 Insulated Copper Wire – Copper wire with a chip rate of 60% or higher and a thickness of at least a ¼". #2 Insulated Copper Wire – Copper wire with a chip rate of 59% or less and with a diameter thickness less than ¼", including extension cords, electrical appliance cords, etc. Electrical Current (EC) insulated wire – Wire with aluminum as the conductive element coated/insulated with plastic or rubber.
